Mr Richard Archuleta

Mr. Archuleta brings with him over 25 years experience in the technology industry at Hewlett-Packard, most recently as Senior Vice President. He has led multiple businesses through rapid growth and expansion in the areas of mobile computing, servers and e-commerce. He was also named “Mobile Industry Person of the Year” by Mobile Computing Magazine in recognition of his leadership in the notebook PC business. He has a B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He is a patent holder and a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management.

Dr John Mills

Dr. Mills has over 7 years of management level experience in research and development businesses. Before joining Plastic Logic, he was the Director of Development for the combined Commercial Printing and Product Identification divisions of Domino Printing Sciences plc. He has a PhD in physics from the Defence Research Agency on Computer Modelling of Semiconductor Devices and a first degree in physics from the University of East Anglia.

Tom Scannell
CFO

Mr. Scannell brings to Plastic Logic over 30 years of financial experience at both public companies and start-ups including the last twelve years as CFO. He has worked at Hewlett-Packard, Micro-Linear, Ilex System, Raychem, Spectra-Physics Lasers, Sirenza Microdevices and most recently Reliant Technologies. He has led 2 IPOs on NASDAQ, venture capital equity and debt rounds, multiple M&A transactions and has prepared companies for public and secondary offerings. He has broad experience in corporate governance and investor relations and has worked on major interdisciplinary and international projects. Tom holds both an M.B.A and a B.A. from Stanford University.

Konrad Herre

Mr. Herre has over 28 years experience in R&D and the production of semiconductors. Prior to joining Plastic Logic, he was COO at ZMD AG (an integrated device manufacturer), Vice President of Production and Logistics of Fibre Optics at Infineon and COO of the X-Fab Semiconductor Foundries. He has a Diploma in Physics from the University in Jena, Germany.

Frank Canova
VP Product Engineering

Mr. Canova brings over 20 years of experience as an innovator and manager at IBM, Cirrus Logic, Palm, Wheels of Zeus, Reactrix and Livescribe. At IBM, he managed mobile products, including the award-winning ThinkPad laptop. For more than five years he held key positions at Palm, including VP of worldwide product engineering were he led hardware development for products including the PalmPilot, Palm III, V and VII and managed product development of both hardware and software products for Palm’s consumer and enterprise divisions. Frank has also been VP and CTO of Reactrix, where he was responsible for creating systems that make media interactive through unique displays and network infrastructure, and VP of hardware engineering at smartpen innovator Livescribe. He holds more than 40 patents, was dubbed Most Prolific Palm Inventor and has a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Joseph Eschbach

Mr. Eschbach brings over 20 years of experience in high-tech marketing at Apple, Radius, Mitsubishi, Adobe, Microsoft, and Astoria Software. At Adobe he was VP of the ePaper Division, driving significant growth in revenue for Adobe Acrobat while also building relationships with Amazon, Barnes Noble, and publishers to help establish Adobe’s eBook business. At Microsoft he was VP Information Worker Marketing responsible for all marketing for the $8B Information Worker application business. He was also VP Marketing and CMO for Astoria Software, helping raise funds, increasing the sales pipeline, and re-launching the company as a player in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) enterprise content management space. He has a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University, a Diploma in Economics from Cambridge University and an M.S. and PhD in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University.

Jean Lea

Ms. Lea joins Plastic Logic with over 21 years as a Human Resource leader and innovator at Hewlett-Packard, Silicon Graphics, Syntex Corporation and as a consultant. While at HP she served in a number of HR leadership roles including leading HR for HP’s notebook PC business where she created a leadership development and change management program that became a model for the company. She then lead HR for HP's Open View Management Software business with over 1,000 employees in 18 sites worldwide and led the integration of 6 acquired companies into the business. She then became VP of HR for HP's Global Operations group where she led a number of HP HR initiatives to improve business efficiency and created an award-winning recruiting program for top HR talent. Jean's most recent role was as the VP of Organizational Effectiveness for HP's Technology Solutions Group. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
