Mr. Evans was the founding CEO of Plastic Logic until his retirement in June 2006. He has over 20 years CEO-level experience in UK quoted, NASDAQ listed and VC-backed technology companies. His experience includes start-ups and turnarounds, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He founded and ran Cambridge-based Cotag International, which was one of the early innovators in electronic tagging. Earlier in his career, he worked for IBM and McKinsey and Co. He has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a first degree from the University of Cambridge.

Professor Friend is Cavendish Professor of Physics at the University of Cambridge where he leads the Optoelectronics Group in the Cavendish Laboratory. He pioneered study of organic polymers and revolutionised the understanding of the electronic properties of molecular semiconductors. He is also one of the Principal Investigators in the new Cambridge-based Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) on Nanotechnology and co-founder of Cambridge Display Technology (CDT). Professor Friend has over 600 publications and more than 20 patents.

 

Professor Henning Sirringhaus

Professor Sirringhaus is Hitachi Professor of Electron Device Physics at Cambridge University where he has worked alongside Professor Richard Friend since 1997. He did post-doctoral research at Princeton and has a PhD from the Institute of Solid State Physics of ETH Zurich. He has over 70 publications and 20 patents/patent applications.
