Tony Illsley, Chairman
Mr Illsley, a former CEO of Telewest plc the broadband cable TV/telecoms operator, after a career in international FMCG with Colgate Palmolive and PepsiCo. He held various senior marketing positions at Colgate Palmolive from 1979 to 1984. He then joined PepsiCo Inc. and during his 14 year career was President for Pepsi Cola Japan, then President Pepsi Cola Asia Pacific, and finally President of Walker Snack Foods. He left Telewest in 2000, following the merger with Flextech and launched a portfolio career. He was on the board of easyJet plc as Senior Independent Director from 2000 to 2005. He is also an NED on GCAP Media plc, and has added to this with roles in various private equity-backed companies, and is currently also Chairman of Power Paper Ltd. 

 

 

Mr Richard Archuleta
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Archuleta brings with him over 25 years experience in the technology industry at Hewlett-Packard, most recently as Senior Vice President. He has led multiple businesses through rapid growth and expansion in the areas of mobile computing, servers and e-commerce. He was also named “Mobile Industry Person of the Year” by Mobile Computing Magazine in recognition of his leadership in the notebook PC business. He has a B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He is a patent holder and a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management.

 

Professor Henning Sirringhaus, Chief Scientist and co-founder
Professor Sirringhaus is Hitachi Professor of Electron Device Physics at Cambridge University where he has worked alongside Professor Richard Friend since 1997. He did post-doctoral research at Princeton and has a PhD from the Institute of Solid State Physics of ETH Zurich. He has over 70 publications and 20 patents/patent applications.

 

Dr Hermann Hauser, Non-executive Director
Dr. Hauser is a founder and director of Amadeus Capital Partners, and has been involved with over 20 technology companies as director, executive or investor. These include Active Book Company, Virata, Cambridge Silicon Radio, Entropic and Solexa. Earlier in his career, he founded Acorn Computers - from which ARM and many other Cambridge hi-tech companies can trace their origins.

 

Bandel Carano, Non-executive Director
Mr. Carano joined Oak in 1985 after two years with Morgan Stanley's Venture Capital Group. At Oak, He has invested in companies with emphasis on design automation, telecommunications, software, and advanced semiconductors. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He currently serves on the Investment Advisory Board of the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund.

 

Robert Broggi, Non-executive Director
Mr. Broggi is Vice President and Director of Technology, Media and Telecommunications Equity Research at Tudor Investment Corporation. Prior to joining Tudor in 2002, he was Executive Director of Institutional Equity Sales at Morgan Stanley where he started the firm's technology specialty sales group in 1999. From 1995 to 1999 he was Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales at Cowen & Co focusing on technology and healthcare research. He holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Harvard University.

 

Stratton Sclavos, Non-executive Director
Mr. Sclavos has over 25 years of experience as a high technology executive in Silicon Valley, most recently serving as CEO of VeriSign Inc., best known for its Internet infrastructure services. He led the company for over 12 years as it developed market-leading services for Internet addressing, e-commerce, mobile messaging and content delivery. He has a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California at Davis.

 

Simon Segars, Non-executive Director
Mr Segars is an Executive Director of ARM Holdings plc. He joined ARM as employee number sixteen and has been actively involved in growing the company through its IPO to the present position of over 1300 staff and a turnover in excess of $400m. He has a Masters degree in Computer Science from University of Manchester and a first degree in Electronic Engineering.
