Indro Mukerjee - CEO

Indro has Board level leadership experience in corporate multinational, new venture and Private Equity backed fast moving technology and industrial companies. Prior to joining Plastic Logic, he was Chairman and CEO of C-MAC MicroTechnology and led the company's transformation into a focused, high reliability electronics market leader. Before joining C-MAC, Indro worked for Philips Semiconductors in several executive board positions, including Executive Vice President - Global Marketing & Sales, and Chief Marketing Officer and CEO of the strategic Automotive and Identification Business Unit.

He was previously Commercial Director within the leadership team that took VideoLogic, an innovative PC-based multimedia/ graphics venture, through a successful IPO, opened new markets internationally and developed a successful joint venture in Japan. His earlier career included senior management positions within Hitachi's European Semiconductor Division and working in management consulting in the technology sector.

Indro is a non-executive director of C-MAC MicroTechnology, a member of the Board of Sector Skills Council for science, engineering & manufacturing technologies and is the founding Chairman of the UK Electronics Skills Foundation. Indro has a degree in engineering from Oxford University, is a graduate of the Wharton Advanced Management Program and speaks several European languages.

 

Daren Benzi - Vice President, Worldwide Business Development and Sales
Daren brings over 15 years of business development, sales and strategic partnership experience to Plastic Logic. Previously, Daren was VP of Sales Development and Strategy at DIRECTV, where he led the company's integrated sales partnerships with major broadband companies and developed new special market opportunities. Prior to DIRECTV, Daren held a number of business development, strategy and operational roles at News Corporation and The Walt Disney Corporation, ABC Television, and as an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission. Daren has a B.A. from Oakland University and a JD from the University of Detroit.

 

Brent Boyer - Vice President, Supply Chain
Brent brings a career in global manufacturing and supply chain management with leading consumer electronics companies to the Plastic Logic team. Prior to joining Plastic Logic, he was Director of Procurement and led company-wide manufacturing strategies for Neterion, the developer of high-speed server and mass storage I/O solutions. Prior to Neterion he held positions of increasing responsibility with Apple Computer, Hewlett Packard, and Siemens Solar. Brent completed MBA work at Pepperdine University and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.

 

Ashley Brown - Global Vice President, Finance
Ashley brings a wealth of international financial management experience to Plastic Logic from a wide range of global manufacturing organizations. He started his career with Unilever where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Following Unilever he joined Rohm and Haas, a US specialty chemical manufacturer, and held positions of increasing responsibility culminating as Finance Director for UK, Central & Eastern Europe, and Turkey. With both financial and commercial responsibility for the region he established businesses in Russia, Poland, and Turkey to bring manufacturing and distribution capability for the firm to Eastern Europe. Most recently he worked for the UK subsidiary of Raytheon, a US defense company, where he held the position of Finance Director for its defense business. Ashley has an MBA from Oxford Brookes University.

 

Charles Dalgity - Vice President, Human Resources Europe
Charles brings over 20 years of human resources management experience to Plastic Logic. Most recently he was Managing Director of Lantern Management. Charles has had a wide-ranging career including positions with Electrolux, Premier Farnell, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Samsung Electronics, Textron, Uniroyal, and Wilson Sporting Goods. He holds a psychology degree from the University of Stirling and read his MSc in Industrial Psychology at the University of Hull.

 

Peter Fischer PhD - Vice President, Process Engineering
Peter has over 15 years experience in semiconductor R&D and manufacturing. Previously, Peter was Director of Engineering at Plastic Logic, Director Backend Products at Qimonda, Director Packaging Development Projects at Qimonda, and Senior Manager Process Integration at Infineon Technologies. He holds a Diploma and PhD in Semiconductor Physics from University of Magdeburg, Germany, with concurrent studies in laser physics. He has also studied in Japan at ISIR of Osaka University and NTT Basic Research Labs in Tokyo.

 

Konrad Herre - Senior Vice President, Display Operations
Konrad has over 25 years of experience in research, development and production with large international microelectronic companies. His experience includes organizational management for the technology development and production, test and customer relationship operations of large-scale global facilities including positions on the Managing Board as COO of ZMD AG, President and COO of X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries, and VP of Production and Logistics for Fiber Optics with Infineon. He has a Diploma in Physics from Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany.

 

Peter Kitchin PhD - Vice President, Cambridge Technology Center
Peter brings over 25 years of technology management experience to Plastic Logic. Previously, Peter held technology leadership positions of increasing responsibility with PA Technology Consulting, Lucas Aerospace, and Crosfield Electronics. For the last 13 years Peter has consulted independently with clients including GEC-Marconi, Thompson-Marconi, Vickers, Ford Motor Company, Psion, and Bombardier, and most recently with Plastic Logic. He has a first degree in Electronics Engineering and a PhD in image processing & robotics from the University of Nottingham.

 

Henning Sirringhaus PhD - Chief Scientist (co-founder)
Henning is the Hitachi Professor of Electron Device Physics at Cambridge University. He has worked alongside Professor Richard Friend since 1997. He did post-doctoral research at Princeton and has a PhD from the Institute of Solid State Physics of ETH Zurich. He has over 70 publications and 20 patents/patent applications.
